"Behind The Panel" Service Counts!

Mark Koons Writes, "Thanks for the great job!" April 17, 2001:

I apologize for taking such a long time to get this to you. Just one thing after another it seems. I wanted to let you know, in writing, how much we appreciated the job you all did on our [Piper] Cherokee VI (N121S). Please feel free to add the comments below to your web site, if you like; and please pass along our appreciation to all of your staff that worked on the project.

Like many aircraft owners, we decided to update our aircraft with some new and much needed, avionics. After a little shopping, and much research, we decided to go with a Garmin 340 audio panel, and the Garmin GNS 430. The next, and equally important decision was, whom do we have do the install? We looked into a few shops before deciding on Muncie Aviation. The pricing by and large was about the same, the others were closer, but we liked the friendliness of the staff, and the knowledge of the product that they possessed.

Before any work was done, we discussed with Bill's staff what we envisioned for the panel layout. We also had some things we wanted to have moved around, etc. I was concerned they might be a little taken back by some of the work we wanted to have done, but to my relief, they welcomed our ideas and made some additional suggestions we hadn't considered. We left there that day feeling that we had chosen the right place for the job.

After the work on our plane began, the guys were really good about calling us with updates, and progress reports. This was really important to me. I knew every couple of days or so where we stood with the project. Then, came the day we went to pick up our plane. It looked absolutely great. They went over the operation of each of the new avionics components with us, and took the time necessary to make sure we were comfortable with their operation before we left. As I talked with some of the folks involved in the installation, one of the guys said to me, "if you get a chance, take a peek behind the panel; I think you'll be happy". My first thought was, that's the part usually people are leery of talking about. I did later take a look at the job they did behind the panel and I truly was impressed.

So to make a long story short, let me say I am very happy with the quality of both the people and the work that gets done at Muncie Aviation. They deserve, and lived up to the good reputation that convinced us to go to them to have our work done; I couldn't recommend them enough, if you need some avionics work done.

Sincerely, Mark Koons

"The communication was outstanding."

John Berend
Plain City, Ohio

.... When John Berend made a substantial investment in the form of a new Piper Seneca, he did his homework to be sure he had chosen the right aircraft and options.
.... But he was pleasantly surprised at the way Bill Roundtree of our avionics staff did some homework of his own. Instead of simply taking an order and outfitting the Seneca's panel, Bill took the time to discuss John's requirements and requests.
.... John's involvement didn't end when the installation technicians went to work. "Communication with Bill was outstanding. He offered suggestions for using features that had not been wired at the factory." John made an unannounced visit, and instead of being treated like an intruder, was welcomed. The technicians explained every detail. "They were well-organized and ahead of schedule."
.... Upon delivery, Bill took time with me to go over the complete package and make certain I understood all the features. All the equipment operated perfectly.

.... I appreciate the way I was treated by Bill and the rest of your team. You can be proud of them." Thanks, John. We are.
